Private instruction is available in both voice and piano. The Leporaccis accept students of all levels: beginner through advanced. Both Jacob and Maylynn teach voice and piano. You may request a teacher, but there is no guarantee of availability.

Consultation lesson:

The first lesson is a consultation lesson. It is a meet and greet in a relaxed atmosphere with no formal instruction. This gives the teacher and the student the chance to discuss the student’s goals before actual instruction begins. It also allows the teacher to assess the student’s current skills and level of ability. If you are a parent of a beginner or an elementary age student, we ask that you do your best to be present at the consultation lesson. The teacher reserves the right to accept or not accept any student after this lesson.

When are lessons offered?

Lessons are typically taught once each week, but other options are available.  Beginning and elementary students typically register for half-hour sessions, and intermediate and advanced-level students are encouraged to take one-hour lessons. A total of 32 lessons is offered in the Fall and Spring semesters (16 in the Fall and 16 in the Spring.) Lessons run from the third week in August to the first week of December and from the third week in January to the third week in May. Should students desire to take lessons during the summer, special arrangements can be made.

What is the cost?

There are several options and customizable packages for lessons. Contact Us to discuss the option that works best for you.

Our most popular option is the tuition based payment plan where payment is divided into equal monthly payments beginning each semester.

Cost Breakdown:

Sixteen 30 Minute Lessons:

$480 per semester     $96 a month

Sixteen 60 Minute Lessons:

$960 per semester     $192 a month

Payment by check or credit card is due on or before the first lesson of each month with a lesson contract beig issued at the beginning of each semester.

Monthly payment amounts remain the same whether or not the student attends the lesson. See our Studio Policy for additional information on make-up lessons.

Special Discounts and Services:

Payment in Full:

A 10% discount is given if payment is made in full at the beginning of the semester. There are no refunds for this option.

Sibling discount:

For families who have multiple children taking lessons, we offer a discount. You can inquire about special rates when you contact us.

Combination lessons:

Some students may wish to take an hour lesson and break it up into two ½ hour sessions, one studying piano and the other voice. This allows the student to learn two disciplines in the same session.

Theory Preparation:

This type of training can either be done as a lesson by itself or can be combined with a weekly lesson in piano or voice. If combined with a weekly lesson, a $10 fee is added to each lesson because additional preparation is necessary. This service is designed to help the high school junior or senior or older adult to prepare for a college audition and theory placement exam. Contact our office for more details.

Audition Preparation:

If you or your student is interested in pursuing music as a career field in college, prepping for a production audition, or is considering trying to gain entrance to a School of the Arts (La Villa, Douglas Anderson, etc.) we offer several customizable packages that will help you prepare for your audition and feel confident on audition day. We have good relationships with several of the Arts Schools in the area and are familiar with their audition policies and procedures. Auditions can be stressful enough without having to worry about all details. From applications and repertoire choices to warm-ups and accompanists, we can help you with it all.
